Two poems
by: Jordyn Lee
Life is a Cycle
No God stands beside me
Only the ghosts
That haunt this house
Skeletons reside in the closet
That is this vessel
Of marrow and veins
For days do not start anew
They pursue and continue
Memories stitch skin
Reigniting the sense of living
Choose to live
Or live to die
Tomorrow never comes
There is only yesterday
Soul
Of stories beyond
Comprehension
And contemplation
Of mankind
Confined to fractures
And marrow
And anatomical folds
Beyond the skeleton
Frequency resides
Desperate measures
To understand
The unknown
Science carries us
Beliefs extend us
Atoms and matter restrict us
